Help Center

Everything you need to get value from your enterprise knowledge copilot — setup guides, answers to common questions, and how to reach us.

Getting Started

Upload Documents

Open Knowledge Sources on the chat page and drag in PDFs, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, text files or screenshots. You can also connect SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams or Google Drive to sync folders automatically. Each file is text-extracted, chunked and indexed within a few seconds.

Ask Questions

Type a question in the chat box and press Enter, or use the microphone for voice input. Knowva searches your indexed knowledge first, then composes a grounded answer. During meetings, Meeting Copilot detects questions automatically and answers them in real time.

View Sources

Every answer lists the documents and passages it was built from. Click a source chip to see the file name, library or site it came from, and open the original where a link is available.

Understand Confidence Scores

Each answer carries a 0–100 confidence score based on how well the retrieved passages cover your question. 80+ means strongly grounded, 50–79 means partially supported (verify before sharing), below 50 signals a likely knowledge gap worth uploading more material for.

Frequently Asked Questions

What file types are supported?

PDF, DOCX, PPTX, XLSX, TXT, Markdown, CSV and images (PNG/JPG, read with vision OCR). Google Docs, Sheets and Slides are exported automatically when you sync Google Drive. Individual files up to 50 MB work best.

How are answers generated?

Knowva uses Retrieval-Augmented Generation. Your question is matched against your knowledge base with hybrid semantic plus keyword search, the most relevant passages are ranked, and only those passages are sent to the model with instructions to answer strictly from them. Repeated questions are served from the answer cache for instant responses.

How do confidence scores work?

The score combines retrieval strength (how similar the best passages are to your question), coverage (how many independent sources agree) and the model's own grounding assessment. Low-confidence answers are logged as knowledge gaps so you can close them with better documentation.

How is my data kept private?

Documents, chats and meeting summaries are stored in your own workspace and protected by row-level security, so only your account can read them. Nothing is used to train models. You can delete any file at any time, or request full account deletion from the Delete My Data page.
